How does the vital record request assistance service work?
Our vital record request filing service is designed for anybody who needs a certified, government issued birth certificate. We've built our site to offer the simplest and easiest way to request a certified vital record on the web! Similar to how a tax preparation/filing service handles taxes for it's clients, our service handles/processes all materials and paperwork required in requesting/filing a request for a certified vital record. This results in our clients receiving a certified birth certificate directly from the issuing government office (with some rare exceptions).

- Gathering and preparing the proper paperwork and materials for your specific birth certificate request. This will vary depending on the state/county of birth and type of request. Our experts will locate and prepare the proper paperwork unique to each clients birth certificate request.
- Creating customized next steps for the client to complete any additional state requirements to obtain the birth certificate. This may vary by the state of birth, county of birth, and the clients relationship to the subject of the record. These next steps are tailored specifically to the certificate request at hand to avoid risk of rejection by the issuing government office.
- Preparing any items required such that the birth certificate request paperwork can be easily and effortlessly be filed by our client. Generally, this means we will prepare a pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelope for our client such that the required documents can easily be sent to the issuing government office.
- Delivering all of the above items to our client in a filing package. In general, the above items are either mailed, emailed, or available for download.

- We charge our fee for the above described service. Our processing fee DOES NOT include government agency fees. Our service is strictly for preparing for and/or filing the record request.
- Government time frames for processing the actual vital record request are out of our control and completely unrelated to our service. If you have hesitations about government processing times, please do not use our service. Government processing estimates are just estimates.
- After a person orders with us, additional items will be required. Generally this includes payment for state fees, a signed application, a photocopy of an ID, etc. We will send a document request package by regular US mail to make it easy to submit these items.
- We do not offer refunds or cancellations because we process orders immediately. If you have hesitations regarding this policy, please do not use our service.
- Our service is not "faster" or "cheaper" than ordering directly with the state. Our service is designed to be an incredibly convenient, time-saving and hassle saving process. If you are looking for a "cheap" option, the best option is to order directly through the state.
